Long Valley Pool Landscape
THE CHALLENGE
The owners of this Long Valley estate had a beautiful pool but unfinished grounds to match. The open acreage lacked structure, the rear slope needed attention, and nothing connected the home, barn, and pool into a cohesive outdoor space. They came to BTS with one goal: transform the raw property into an estate-quality landscape, without touching the pool surround.
OUR APPROACH
Fire Garden Patio: Designed and installed a circular gravel patio as the backyard centerpiece, set into a sweeping planting bed with a young specimen tree and perennial surround.
Perennial Garden Beds: Installed layered beds throughout the property featuring lavender, salvia, ornamental grasses, and silvery low-growing perennials selected for four-season interest.
Foundation and Outbuilding Plantings: Installed clean, mulched foundation beds around both the main home and barn to tie the buildings into the broader landscape.
Privacy Tree Line: Reinforced the rear perimeter with arborvitae to enclose the space and give the grounds a sense of depth and boundary.
THE RESULTS
The fire garden patio anchors the backyard with a place to gather that feels intentional. Layered perennial beds unify the property from front to back, and the privacy tree line gives the estate the sense of enclosure it needed to feel complete. A landscape built to be enjoyed through every season.
